Imagine a school project where two students are working together to build a model. They are the primary parties involved. However, they need glue to put the pieces together, so they ask a third student, who is not part of their project, to lend them some glue. This third student acts as a 3rd party, providing a necessary resource without being directly involved in the project.

A 3rd party is an external entity that a company leverages for their services. These 3rd parties can be directly integrated into one's offering.

CI/CD Pipelines, or Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines, are automated processes that enable developers to build, test, and deploy software changes quickly and reliably.

Imagine a factory assembly line where each station represents a step in the software development process. As a product moves through the assembly line, it gets tested, assembled, and packaged. CI/CD pipelines work in a similar fashion, with each step in the pipeline representing a stage in the software development process, such as building, testing, and deploying.

Cross platform refers to the development of software, applications, or products that can run on multiple operating systems, devices, or platforms without requiring any additional modifications or adaptations.

It is called an "elevator pitch" because it is supposed to be the length of a short elevator ride, typically about 30 seconds to two minutes, and should be able to be delivered to a potential investor, customer, or client in the time it takes to ride an elevator.

Just like how a commercial is a short, persuasive message that is used to quickly and simply explain the benefits of a product and persuade the viewer to take some action, such as buying the product or trying it out, an elevator pitch is a short, persuasive message that is used to quickly and simply explain the key points of an idea and persuade the listener to take some action, such as investing in a product or service, trying out a new idea, or considering a proposal.

Like a commercial, an elevator pitch should be engaging, compelling, and to the point, and it should be able to effectively communicate the key points of the idea in a short amount of time.

An elevator pitch is how you communicate your product, service, or idea in a concise 30-60 second pitch.

A minimum viable product (MVP) is a version of a product with just enough features to satisfy early customers and provide feedback for future product development.

Imagine you want to build a car. Instead of spending years perfecting the design and features, you start by building a skateboard. The skateboard is your MVP - it's not a complete car, but it allows people to move from one place to another. You then gather feedback from skateboard users and gradually improve the design, eventually adding more features and turning it into a car.

An MVP is a basic version of a product that helps you test the market and gather user feedback for further improvements.

A Partner API allows you as a partner to perform all the GET operations that you do in your partner store. Partner APIs are built using REST principles. This ensures predictable URLs that make it easy to write and retrieve data related to your partner store. This API follows HTTP rules.

A Partner API is the ordering system for a restaurant to order food from its distributor.

A restaurant doesn't magically have all the food it needs. They tend to order their food from larger distributors that have the bulk quantities they need to function.

The everyday individual doesn't have access to order food from these bulk distributors, they have to go to the restaurant in order to purchase their food. The distributor is only going to allow the restaurant to order food from them.

A Partner API is exposed by, or to, the strategic business partner.

PayPal is a financial services company that provides online payment processing and money transfer services. It allows individuals and businesses to send and receive payments online, as well as to make online purchases.

Imagine you have a wallet in your physical pocket or purse that you use to store your cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment. PayPal is like a virtual version of that wallet, but instead of storing physical currency, it stores digital payment methods like credit cards and bank accounts.

Just like how you can use your physical wallet to make purchases in person or online, you can use PayPal to make purchases online or send money to others. It's a convenient way to store and manage your payment information in one place, and it's also a secure way to make payments online.

Plaid is a financial technology company that provides APIs (application programming interfaces) and other tools for developers to build financial applications and services. Plaid's APIs allow developers to access financial data from banks, credit card companies, and other financial institutions, and to initiate transactions such as money transfers.

Just as a bridge connects two land masses, Plaid connects financial institutions (such as banks and credit card companies) with developers who want to access financial data or build financial applications. Plaid provides the infrastructure and tools (such as APIs) that enable this connection, making it easier for developers to build financial products and services.

Plaid is a tool used by companies to allow for quick and easy payment via bank accounts.

A problem statement is a clear and concise description of a problem that needs to be solved. It describes the context of the problem, the problem itself, and the potential impact of the problem.

Just as a map shows the location of a destination and the route that needs to be taken to reach it, a problem statement identifies a problem that needs to be solved and provides the context and potential impact of the problem.

A map helps guide your journey and helps you avoid obstacles or detours along the way. Similarly, a problem statement helps guide the problem-solving process and helps you focus on the most important aspects of the problem.

For example, imagine you are planning a road trip and you want to visit several different cities. You might create a map that shows the location of each city and the route you need to take to get there. This map would be like a problem statement, because it clearly defines the destination (the cities you want to visit) and the route you need to take to get there (the problem that needs to be solved). The map provides enough information for you to understand your journey and make informed decisions about how to reach your destination.

Imagine you're planning a cross-country road trip. A product roadmap is like your travel itinerary, outlining the major stops and attractions you want to visit along the way. It helps you prioritize and plan your journey, ensuring you reach your destination in the most efficient and enjoyable way possible.

A product roadmap is a strategic plan that guides the development and growth of a product, similar to a travel itinerary for a road trip.

A production environment, sometimes called deployment environment, is the set of computers where finished, user-ready software is deployed and executed.When software code is moved to the production environment, it is the final step in a 4-tier architecture that includes development, testing, staging and production.

A production environment is like a construction site.

Different teams come together to build on the construction site, putting together the structure that will be the final product. Let's say it is an apartment building. Construction workers will first clear the area, build the foundation, and slowly put the building together.

They may first put together components to create different frameworks and pieces before then building it in the construction site.

All of the construction workers will work together to build this apartment building within the construction site itself - the final place where the building will be.

A production environment is where you build, test, and deploy your software product that users will see and use.

A prototype is an early model or sample of a product that is created to test and validate its design, functionality, and user experience before it is finalized and launched. In software, a prototype is a version of your product that is usable but not available to the public. It commonly will only allow for clicking through flows or viewing what the proposed solution will eventually look like.

Imagine you're building a house, but before you start constructing the actual house, you create a smaller, scaled-down version of it. This smaller version, or "model," allows you to see how the house will look and function, and helps you identify any issues or improvements that need to be made before you start building the real thing. In this case, the model house is like a prototype.

A prototype is a preliminary version of a product that helps you test and refine its design and functionality before moving on to building a functional product.

A pull request (PR)is a way for developers to collaborate and propose changes in the codebase, doing so through the approval of another developer. This ensures that all changes are carefully reviewed and tested before being integrated into the codebase. You can think of a pull request as a peer review.

A pull request is like a chef preparing a meal and having their sous chef taste it before being served.

A chef will prepare ingredients and begin to cook a meal, starting with the basic foundation and slowly putting the entire meal together itself. The chef may first start off with working on the sauce. As they prepare the sauce, they will personally taste it as they make it to ensure they are on the right track. Once they think its in a good spot, they will then ask a sous chef or colleague to taste it, to ensure they get a second opinion before sending it out for a customer to eat.

If the sous chef has feedback, the chef will then be able to incorporate that feedback into their preparations, making alterations to the recipe to enhance the quality of the sauce. Once it is back to a place where the chef is confident with it, they will have the sous chef taste it again. When the sous chef gives the thumbs up, they will then use it as the final product for the meal.

A pull request is a way for developers to collaborate on a codebase, ensuring that they review each other's work to only integrate code that is of quality and mutually agreed upon. Common 

 like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket leverage pull requests.
